CSO Groundbreaking - April 14th

The City of Tell City will conduct a groundbreaking and ribbon cutting to mark the start of the "Combined Sewer Overflow Project". The event will be held on Wednesday, April 14th at 10:00 am. The event will be located at the Waste Water Treatment Plant, 1123 5th Street, Tell City.

Business Award Winners

The Perry County Chamber held it's 9th Annual Chamber Award Dinner on Thursday, April 8th. The Chamber handed out awards for four categories during the evening - Large Business (greater than 25 employees), Small Business (up to 25 employees), Entrepreneur, and Applause (non-profit or individual). The award winners are chosen by last year's winners.

The Large Business of the Year is Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, Tell City. Also nominated for this award was Tell City-Troy Township School Corporation.

The Small Business of the Year is Hauenstein's Clothing Store. Also nominated were Hoosier Southern Railroad, Orscheln Farm & Home, Rolands, and Werner Drug Store.

The Entrepreneur of the Year is R & A Sports. Also nominated were Rural Land, Skinsations, and Tell City Star Cafe.

The Applause Award went to Catholic Charities. Also nominated were Junior Achievement, Leadership Perry County and Perry County Habitat for Humanity.
