Chamber Announces Christmas Cash Giveaway

The Perry County Chamber of Commerce along with participating businesses: Celebrations, German American, Fischer’s Furniture & Appliance, Hauenstein’s, Lauer Floral Company, Marian’s Hallmark, Nobles IGA, Old National, Roland’s, Now & Then and Wal-Mart Tell City Supercenter are proud to announce this year’s Christmas Cash Giveaway. To win, shoppers must register at one of the participating merchants from through December 23 to win Chamber gift certificates. The promotion is intended to encourage local shopping over the holiday season and give local residents some extra shopping money compliments of local businesses. The total cash to be given away this year is over $1,000. There will be a winner from each participating location each week.
Winners for the first two weeks were Danielle Zuelly, Janet Flamion, Joann Scott, Vicki Lawalin, Rickey Maxey, Brienne Hammack, Carolyn Collins, Judy Nickens, Faye Seibert, Kay Wetzel, Carolyn Hughes, Brandi Labhart, Tom Adams, Nathan Hubert, Mary K. Thomasson, Sherri Kleeman,Sharon Keilman, Diane Schaad, Dora Knieriem, Libby Gengelbach, Helen Shaw and Debbie Doyle. Winners for the final two weeks were Michelle Weedman, Mary E. Hagedorn, Jerry Wooldridge, Debbie Spinner, Tammy Tanner, Wilma Major, Bev Rennie, Margie Peter, George Schaefer, Judy Meunier, and Pat Wilkerson winning a $25 gift certificate each that can be used at the participating businesses. Kim Clayton and Brent Weatherholt won $100 each.

Electric Sun Ribbon Cutting


The Perry County Chamber of Commerce will conducted a ribbon cutting for Electric Sun on Friday, November 12th at 11:30 am to celebrate their new business. The open house will took place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Ryan and Paige Werner are the owners of Electric Sun which is located at 114 E. Hwy 66, in Tell City (near the movie theater). Electric Sun has tanning beds, a spray tanning booth, and tanning lotions and products. Hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am – 8:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am – 7:00 pm and Sunday noon-7:00 pm. Paige Werner serves as Store Manager.
