Accepting Applications for Fall 2015 Loan Awards in Perry County


Education Pays Accepting Applications for Fall 2015 Loan Awards in Perry County

Deadline is June 1st.

The Education Pays Student Loan Fund of Tell City/Perry County has announced it is accepting applications for interest-free loans to be awarded to students pursuing a post-high school education for the fall, 2015, semester. Applications are available at the offices of the guidance counselors at Cannelton, Perry Central and Tell City High Schools. The deadline for submitting applications is June 1, 2015. This is the 17th year funds have been available to graduates of all three of Perry County’s high schools. The interest-free loan program is also available to Perry County students entering college for the first time but who are not current high school graduates and to those who are entering their second or subsequent year of college or trade school. Safe-Sitter Classes through Perry County Memorial Hospital

REGISTRATION IS DUE BY MAY 18TH, 2015. Classes are June 4th or June 8th from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm at Perry County Memorial Hospital at 8885 State Road 237 in Tell City

Safe-Sitter is a program for 11-14 year olds where you will learn life-saving skills so you can be safe if you’re home alone or watching younger children. It includes fun activities, new friends and life-saving skills.

Safe-Sitter is a 1 day class with CPR training as well. It will be held. Class fee is $30 per student ($15 scholarships are available based on need). Class size is limited and students are registered on a first come, first serve basis. The Perry County Public Library is initiating a trial new ebook resource.
